HD audio specialist DTS has secured a new partner, International Audio Group (IAG) which will now integrate DTS into its amplifiers, receivers, soundbars and speakers across the Audiolab, Mission, QUAD and Wharfedale brands.

DTS Play-Fi technology enables lossless multi-room wireless audio streaming on any supported product from the some of the world’s most popular music services including Amazon Music, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Juke, KKBox, Napster, Pandora, Qobuz, QQ Music, SiriusXM, SoundMachine, Spotify, and TIDAL, thousands of Internet radio stations, as well as personal music libraries. In addition, DTS Play-Fi features advanced streaming functionality such as wireless surround sound, stereo pairing, music station pre-sets, and audio/video synchronisation.

“We are excited to announce that IAG is the latest company to join DTS Play-Fi, the world’s largest ecosystem of premium wireless audio products,” said Dannie Lau, GM/DTS Play-Fi. “IAG has some of the most respected hi-fi brands within the audio-visual industry, and we are proud to have them as part of the DTS Play-Fi ecosystem.”

This news comes on the back of DTS’s recent announcement that Alexa Cast would also be integrated into DTS Play-Fi-enabled products. The integration of Alexa Cast enables users to send and control music directly from the native Amazon Music app to individual DTS Play-Fi speakers or groups of speakers in their home, including brands from International Audio Group. DTS Play-Fi products with this functionality include models from Aerix, Definitive Technology, Klipsch, McIntosh, Onkyo, Phorus, Pioneer, Polk and Soundcast, as well as upcoming products from SVS Sound.
