Jon Stewart, the US comedian and former host of iconic US late-night, satirical talk-show The Daily Show, is set to front a new current affairs series for Apple TV+.
Stewart will host a new hour-long series (as yet untitled) that will explore topics of national interest. Each season will have a companion podcast to “continue the discussion”, Apple revealed. The series is expected to debut on the Apple TV+ streaming platform in 2021
As well as Stewart serving as an executive producer, Apple has also signed a deal with his production company that gives it a first look at other projects.
Stewart presented The Daily Show between 1999 to 2015. It is now fronted by Trevor Noah.
