Pleasurewood Hills to sponsor Archant programme showing Norwich City games

July 23, 2015

Archant’s local TV service for Norwich, Mustard TV, has announced an exclusive partnership with the theme park Pleasurewood Hills to sponsor its new programme ‘On The Ball City Live’ (OTBC Live). The show has been created in association with Norwich City FC to cover their two pre-seasonfriendlies.

OTBC Live on Mustard TV will show the two full Norwich City FC pre-season matches (against West Ham on July 28 and Brentford on August 1), with half-time analysis and post-match round-ups – all of which will be sponsored exclusively by Pleasurewood Hills.

Craig Nayman, Chief Commercial Officer, Archant said: “We are delighted to announce Pleasurewood Hills as the sponsor of our new programme On The Ball City Live. It is a great example of how we can marry a local business with an engaged local audience through television. We are also excited to be partnering with Norwich City FC on this unique opportunity, we have an excellent relationship with the club and this initiative builds on those close ties.”

From July 22, Mustard TV will promote OTBC Live with trailers running three times per night each weekday evening. There are also repeat episodes of the programme scheduled for 11:00pm on Wednesday July 29 and 7:30pm on Saturday August 1.

Fiona Ryder, Managing Director, Mustard TV said: “Mustard TV is thrilled to have partnered with Norwich City FC to secure the broadcast rights to the club’s pre-season friendly matches and create a new programme. With the industry seeing an increase in local TV franchises, it highlights Mustard TV’s capabilities as a broadcaster, serving the interests of our local audience.”

Liam Holmes, General Manager, Pleasurewood Hills said: “Our theme park serves thousands of customers a year, with them predominately from the Norfolk and Suffolk area. We’re pleased to be announced as the sponsor for Mustard TV’s live coverage of these matches as it’s a unique opportunity for us to reach a local audience who enjoy being entertained.”

Romily Broad, Head of Content at Norwich City FC, said: “This is an exciting partnership with Mustard TV and will provide those fans who are unable to join us at Carrow Road for the games the opportunity to watch Alex Neil’s side in action, as we approach the start of our Barclays Premier League campaign on August 8th.”

Pleasurewood Hills will also receive 12 x 10 second sponsor credits, at the start and end of each programme part. The studio elements of the show will be broadcast on the internal screen network at the ground. In addition to sponsorship credits in the live programmes, both programmes will be repeated on Mustard TV, giving Pleasurewood Hills a total of 48 sponsorship credits as part of the package. A Pleasurewood Hills logo will be carried in each promotional trailer giving 24 sponsor mentions over a two week period (15 for the first match and nine for the second). After each match Norwich City FC will upload the programme to their Pay TV service, Canaries TV, for fans to watch on demand wherever they’re located, which will include the Pleasurewood Hills logo and sponsor credit.
