Rovi is in negotiations with Google to bring its navigation solutions and technology to the recently announced Google Smart TV platform. Rovi has confirmed it is in talks with Google.

“Google have wielded their considerable influence and vision to get multiple market forces together to take connected-TV to a place that needed a collaborative approach,” said Rovi’s executive vice president of product management and marketing Corey Ferengul.
