Aaron Sorkin, the writer of The Social Network, The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, is again going behind the scenes for his next TV project. The new and highly-anticipated HBO-backed pilot has Sorkin’s cast behind the scenes in a nightly cable news show. Oscar-winning Sokin is executive producer of the show that will have plenty of elements of CNN or Fox News within its plot structure.

Jeff Daniels is the possible star of the show, snappily titled “More as the story develops”, a similar phrase to that used on a near-daily basis by most anchors on CNN, Fox or msNBC.

Other names linked to the show include long-term Sorkin alumnus Timothy Busfield who had both a regular appearance slot in The West Wing and starred in and directed episodes of Studio 60.
