Aspera and Civolution integrate NexGuard watermarking
September 5, 2013
Aspera, creators of next-generation software technologies, and Civolution, a provider of technology and solutions for identifying, managing and monetising content, have announced the integration of Civolution’s NexGuard forensic watermarking functions with Aspera’s Orchestrator workflow automation and management solution.
Civolution’s NexGuard forensic marking applications offer both a deterrent against piracy and a forensic analysis tool in case piracy occurs. Solutions range from applications for pre-release content to integration in digital cinema, pay-tv and online media delivery systems. With NexGuard seamlessly integrated with Aspera Orchestrator, operators can incorporate watermarking into a file-based workflow using the rich visual designer, and execute the process automatically at run time, eliminating any manual steps. It ensures complete content protection.
“Content protection is very important to our customers in media and entertainment,” said John Wastcoat, vice president business development at Aspera. “Civolution’s unique watermarking technology adds content protection to the final digital output so content owners can identify copies of their materials regardless of the format, resolution or location, and trace them back to the original source.”
