TMS powers TiVo for Com Hem

September 11, 2013

Com Hem, a supplier of triple-play offerings in Sweden, will launch its TiVo service powered by On Entertainment metadata from navigation specialist TMS. Using the new TiVo service, Com Hem subscribers will be able to seamlessly search for and discover linear and on-demand programming using elegant entertainment guide interfaces that are standardised across TV, computer, tablet and smartphone screens.

TMS’ On Entertainment metadata enables many of the TiVo services’ key features including unified search, image-driven navigation and smart content recommendations. TMS Unique IDs provide the connectivity between the linear TV, catch-up TV and VoD datasets which allows users to find and watch the entertainment content they appeals to them the most, regardless of the source.

“Com Hem has invested a great deal of time and effort into the TiVo service and we’re thrilled to make it available to our customers,” said Asanga Gunatillaka, Chief Product Officer at Com Hem. “We are confident the advanced features made possible by TMS data will be a valuable differentiator of our service.”
