Orange launches low cost, multi-device TV service

France Telecom-owned Orange has launched Orange TV in Spain, a multiplatform and multi-device TV service with an offer of over 25 TV channels and HD content dedicated to documentaries, cinema, series, and children’s programming, for only €10 a month.

The TV service has been made available to all platforms and Internet-connected devices (TV, PC, tablets, smartphones using fixed (ADSL and fiber) and mobile technologies (3G and 4G) and a smart STB with PVR and DLNA capacities.

Orange TV also includes television a la carte, VoD with over 600 titles and an exclusive subscription VoD service called Disney Movies on Demand with a cost of €5 a month that will allow subscribers to have access under a flat fee to a wide catalogue of the best 60 classic and current Disney movies for all the family. Orange TV also distributes Canal Plus Liga on HD with the Spanish Football League for €15 a month.

With this new service, Orange plans to boost TV subscriptions and reach 90 per cent of Spanish households.
