Anevia acquires BackstreamTV

Anevia, an expert in video streaming and infrastructure solutions for OTT, live TV VoD, has confirmed the acquisition of BackstreamTV.
Currently based in southwest France, BackstreamTV provides a cloud TV solution for use in managing the thousands of television and radio programmes broadcast by satellite on corporate IPTV headends for hospitality market applications.
“The technology developed by BackstreamTV forms an ideal platform for our development of cloud TV services for applications such as hotel headends,” comments Anevia EVP and co-founder Damien Lucas. “It is a logical continuation of the cloud television channel service we recently established. Our combined technology will give our respective customers outstanding cloud services to manage the television and radio content of their IPTV headend systems and delivery of cloud TV content. ”
BackstreamTV’s technology incorporates a database of 10,000 digital television and radio programmes broadcast on 1,000 frequencies from 40 satellites. Using exclusive predictive mechanisms, it enables realtime monitoring of corporate IPTV headend content.
