October 6, 2014

vodafone-thuisVodafone Netherlands has launched triple-play packages (Internet, telephone and TV services) throughout the country via its DSL network. Packages are available with speeds of 20, 40, and 80 MBs, and, in fibre areas. 50, 100 and 500 MBs.

Branded ‘Vodaphone Thuis”, the TV service gives all customers access to a standard 54 digital channels via their TV package, including 25 in HD channels, catch-up TV services and an app for portable devices. Additional channel packages are divided into categories such as kids & music, entertainment, and premium packages like HBO and FOX Sports.

“Vodafone Thuis is a building block for our future, where fixed and mobile communication services will merge with this offer. We are taking an important step in the transformation of mobile service provider to a provider of the full range of communications services. Nine out of ten households is now a customer of KPN or cable, so there is very little to choose from, so an alternative is desperately needed,” commented Rob Shuter, CEO Vodafone Netherlands.

Vodafone Netherlands has also launched a nationwide ad-campaign with the message being that it is more than just a ‘mobile’ company.
