Baku 2015 European Games appoints Perform
November 25, 2014
Perform, the digital sports content group, and Baku European Games Operations Committee (BEGOC), the organiser of the inaugural European Games, have signed a content partnership that will deliver extensive multilingual news and features to promote and increase exposure of the Baku 2015 European Games.
Perform will base production teams in Baku and London, showcasing the 20 different sports on show and the athletes competing across eight languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Turkish and Azerbaijani) ahead of the Games. This video content, as well as hundreds of editorial stories, will be distributed to global broadcasters and publishers via Perform’s Omnisport sports news service and ePlayer, the VoD platform, as well as via Perform’s own consumer portals.
Charlie Wijeratna, Commercial Director at Baku 2015, added: “The European Games will be an historic event in a beautiful city and we are confident of providing a world class sporting spectacle to fans across Europe. All sporting events need to have a strong digital presence and Perform has an impressive track-record of working with the most prestigious sporting competitions. We look forward to delivering a great fan experience through our array of compelling content and distribution platforms.”
