USA, Hopster on Apple TV
May 6, 2015
USA’s entertainment network content will be available on Apple TV via USA Now, the network’s TV Everywhere streaming product. Apple TV consumers can now access the USA’s portfolio of originals in time for summer returns of popular dramas including Suits, Graceland and Royal Pains.
USA is the first cable entertainment network in the NBCUniversal portfolio to launch on Apple TV, following the launch of NBC Sports Live Extra. Programming will be available to authenticated cable, satellite or telco customers via TV Everywhere, the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home, and on multiple platforms.
Hopster, the educational kids TV service, is also now available on Apple TV. With programming curated exclusively for kids, Hopster offers Apple TV users hundreds of episodes preschool shows from around the world. Apple TV families can stream Hopster’s shows for just £3.99 per month after a free seven day trial.
Nick Walters, Hopster founder and CEO, said, “Launching on Apple TV makes Hopster an even more complete world for preschoolers to spend good screen time. Hopster on the big screen is great for families to watch together, and complements our interactive iPhone and iPad apps seamlessly. We’re using the simplicity of Apple TV to curate our shows in a unique way to help kids discover all of Hopster’s amazing content. And since it’s all under one subscription, they can hop from the big screen to the small screen seamlessly when they feel like getting active with our fun learning games.”
