Spanish media group Grupo Secuoya has joined the private FTA lobby UTECA, an Association led by Mediaset and Atresmedia aimed at defending the private TV interests.
Grupo Secuoya has just entered the DTT market with the launch of its channel Ten. The Group’s president Raul Berdonés will be now part of UTECA along with the representatives of Mediaset, Atresmedia, Veo TV and Net TV.
For the president of UTECA, Alejandro Echevarria, the launch of new channels like Secuoya-owned Ten is good for “a greater and better audience segmentation and to the benefit of viewers and advertisers, and is a boost to investment and growth in the TV industry”.
