July 15, 2016

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has revealed a unique “second screen experience” will be deployed during the July 19th premiere of SmackDown Live on the USA Network (the show has always been pre-recorded since launching in 1999) which will feature the first brand split roster draft in 14 years.

The “second screen experience” will broadcast simultaneously on the company’s WWE Network app during the two hour show – featuring interviews and commentary about draft picks while other matches and segments are airing on the main broadcast.

A statement from the company said: “The revolutionary telecast will allow the WWE Universe to get inside the Draft in a way unlike any other as the lives of Superstars change forever – exclusively for WWE Network subscribers”.
