Indian DTH operator Videocon d2h says it expects to add 2.5 million gross new subscribers this fiscal year. Videocon d2h launched its TV service in 2010 and rapidly grew, within two years, to 5 million.

Its Q1 trading period saw 600,000 gross subs added, and a net 430,000. The operator says it expects to see a net 225,000 added during Q2. As at June 30, it had 12.29 million subscribers on its books.

The company says that Q2 is traditionally a flat month for subscriber additions, and that it was confident that its guidance for the full year would be met.
