July 18, 2017
ATEME has announced that its video transcoding software TITAN File is being used by ODMedia, a European VoD full service company, to provide extra features to its high-quality encoding facility. TITAN File is based on ATEME’s Fifth Generation STREAM compression engine and delivers the highest video quality at the lowest possible bitrate with accelerated parallel processing. The video transcoding software is designed for mezzanine, STB and ABR VOD, post-production, playout and archive applications. TITAN File supports existing transcoding workflows, as well as emerging ones such as those including HDR.
TITAN File is an advanced 4K/UHD HEVC transcoding solution which offers compatibility across all available HDR standards on the market. It has the ability to work 24/7 in automated workflows, whilst offering a complete and open API for integration with any MAM such TITAN File as the ODMedia, and provides network monitoring of multiple servers deployed both on-premises and in the cloud.
“ODMedia’s encoding facility processes hundreds of hours of content every day and distributes content to over 80 countries and 200 platforms including cable operators, VoD platforms and OTT solutions,” says Christophe Deffontaines, sales director at ATEME. “ATEME’s TITAN meets technical and business needs of companies, such as ODMedia, with a wide variety of customers that require flexible, agile and future-proof solutions.”
Tim Koeleman, CTO at ODMedia says: “We have worked with ATEME very well over the past few years and this project has been no different. The migration to HEVC has been smooth, with the ATEME solution proven to be the best choice for us, in terms of codecs expertise, outstanding interoperability, video quality and support capabilities. We wanted a long-term solution that will remain relevant in the future with an exciting roadmap. This is what ATEME brought to us with TITAN File.”
