December 13, 2017

Caringo has announced partnership with JB&A Distribution to represent Caringo Scale-Out Hybrid Storage to systems integrators (SIs) and value-added resellers (VARs) in the United States and Canada. The partnership leverages JB&A’s expertise in support and integration and enables them to offer the industries’ most reliable and efficient object storage solution, Caringo Swarm, to solve pressing issues around storing rapidly scaling media libraries that need to remain instantly accessible.
Offered as software or as an appliance, Caringo optimizes storage and access at every stage of the digital asset lifecycle-from production to delivery to long-term preservation. M&E organizations including Studios, Production Houses, Broadcasters and Service Providers can store what they need, ensure media integrity and keep assets online and accessible for reuse and monetisation.

“One of Caringo core strategies is to partner with leading technologies, resellers, and distributors to support the adoption of Swarm. In JB&A we are partnering with the leader in providing M&E solutions to resellers and end users,” said Ben Canter, Caringo Global Sales Director. “Together, we will solve customer’s storage problems by combining Caringo Swarm’s proven platform with JB&A’s engineering expertise to provide complete end-to-end workflow solutions.”

California-based JB&A is a distributor whose staff of video and content experts works to provide the best available workflow solutions for the broadcast, IP/streaming, postproduction, and digital signage markets. JB&A will distribute Caringo’s full suite of Storage Solutions to their large database of clients and also gain access to Caringo’s Object Storage Subject-Matter Experts. Caringo will work with JB&A’s engineering and sales teams to build solutions bundles for clients that enable them to cut storage TCO while gaining sophisticated data management capabilities and leveraging Caringo Swarm’s continuous, built-in data protection.

“We are really excited to offer Caringo to our clients,” said Nick Smith, Director of Technology, JB&A. Smith continued, “We always look to partner with the leaders in technology and you can’t argue Caringo’s history in object storage. Their Swarm platform gives us an amazing palate of connectivity options that will allow our partners and clients to introduce affordable object storage to the masses. Cloud storage is here and usage is growing however private cloud holds the largest growth opportunity for those who want to manage and control their content.”
