GoMedia, Discover.film partnership

April 27, 2018

GoMedia, the onboard infotainment systems developer for transport operators, has formed a partnership with short film curator Discover.film, extending its content offering on public transport.

Discover.film sources the best content from a creative network of more than 400,000 filmmakers around the world, giving them a platform through VoD and multi-channel distribution, to reach a global audience.

Stephen Harmston, managing director, Discover.film, says: “Short films are perfect for short journeys. This partnership with GoMedia means that even more people will get to see the very best short films. At Discover.film, we pride ourselves on bringing something special and different to an audience, whether a two-minute film about a unicorn salesman or a seven-minute piece about an emergency services call operator. Short films are incredibly diverse and leave a truly lasting impression, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy as rail passengers use GoMedia’s onboard entertainment as they travel.”

The first of GoMedia’s customers to benefit from the partnership is c2c Rail, an operator that has a predominantly commuter-centric passenger base. c2c will have short films available, including dramas, documentaries and animation – all with run times from two to fifteen minutes.
