Associated Press, Bloomberg sales alliance

October 9, 2018

The Associated Press and Bloomberg Media Distribution have foremed a joint sales alliance aimed at securing new clients within the EMEA and Asia regions. Through the alliance, AP and Bloomberg Media Distribution will now offer its media clients access to both Bloomberg’s range of global business and finance news and AP’s news services. The deal enables both news organisations to provide a full multi-genre content solution to clients throughout EMEA and Asia.

With the new alliance, Bloomberg Media Distribution and AP will offer clients who don’t currently subscribe to either service the opportunity to access content from both news organisations using their existing content platforms. This covers all global, multi-language content from Bloomberg and AP including, text, data, photo and video news.

Josh Bassett, director of EMEA distribution and partnerships at Bloomberg Media Distribution, said: “We look forward to giving clients the opportunity to access Bloomberg’s premium global business news combined with The Associated Press’ leading international news service. The alliance offers a content solution that no other provider can match. ”

Daisy Veerasingham, senior vice president for international revenue at AP, said: “By collaborating with Bloomberg Media Distribution, the two organisations are creating a game-changing alliance that will redraw the international news marketplace and offer customers unprecedented choice.”
