Virgin Media Television – the newly re-branded Irish broadcaster – will show all races from the fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Ireland.

Fans of the electric street racing series will be able to follow the action live on Virgin Media Sport – the exclusive new sports channel available to Virgin Media customers in Ireland – as well as watching in-depth highlights across the free-to-air channels on the network.

“I’m extremely pleased to continue showing the jubilance and jeopardy of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship to fans in Ireland with Virgin Media Television,” declared Ali Russell, Media & Business Development Director at Formula E. “Ahead of season five and the introduction of the new cars, new drivers and a new race format – we’ll once again be bringing live action and highlights from each E-Prix on the new Virgin Media Sport channel and across the recently re-branded free-to-air platforms.”

“We’re delighted to extend our relationship with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years,” added Kieran Holden, Head of Sport at Virgin Media Television. “This is another real treat for Virgin Media Sport viewers who’ll be able to enjoy extensive live coverage from every Formula E race weekend.”
