After months of negotiations, Eleven Sports has finally signed a distribution agreement for its premium sports channels with leading Portuguese telecom operators Altice Portugal (Meo), NOS and Vodafone Portugal.

As a result, customers of the three operators will have access to a wide range of sports content, such as the Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue1, Formula 1 and NFL.

Eleven Sports launched in Portugal in August 2018, but was distributed only by Nowo, the smallest of the four major telecom operators in the country.

Since launching, Eleven Sports registered 200,000 downloads of its apps and 9 million page views on its site. The premium sports platform broadcast more than 600 sports events during this period, for a total of 1,300 hours of live sport.

The deal comes just in time for the start of the knock-out phase of the Champions League. Subscribers will be able to watch the matches on their operator’s pay-TV and On-The-Go platforms, as well as on the OTT platform of Elevensports.pt.

Meo, NOS and Vodafone Portugal customers can subscribe to the Eleven Sports channels for €9.99 per month. Tthose who subscribe to Eleven Sports’s OTT platform will not have access to the Eleven Sports channel on their local pay-TV operator, and vice versa.
