Virgin Media vows to keep customers connected
June 3, 2019
Virgin Media customers can always stay connected and online thanks to a new service promise being introduced from today (Monday 3 June).
Customers with combined ultrafast broadband and mobile bundles will receive unlimited 4G mobile data if they experience an issue that results in a loss of broadband connectivity.
The data boost will be available for seven days for all Virgin Mobile SIMs registered on a customer’s account so everyone in the home can stay online and up-to-date while an engineer fixes the problem.
In addition, customers on Virgin Media’s top-tier bundle, ‘Ultimate Oomph’ (formerly V.VIP), will also be able to book a next-day engineer appointment to help get their connection back up and running as quickly as possible.
Customers can speak to a dedicated team to access the unlimited data and book a next-day engineer appointment by calling either 150 or 789 from a Virgin Media home phone or a Virgin Mobile SIM respectively.
The service is available to both new and existing customers signed up to Virgin Media’s combined broadband and mobile bundles which launched at the end of April.
Jeff Dodds, Managing Director of Virgin Media, said:
“We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected and that’s why Virgin Media’s new service promise offers peace of mind, no matter what happens.
“It’s a simple, transparent and straight-up commitment to our customers that we’ll keep them online with superfast unlimited 4G mobile data if they experience an issue with their broadband, plus they have the option of a next-day engineer appointment to get things fixed.
“Our service promise is at the heart of our un-limiting Oomph bundle line-up which offers our customers an unrivalled connected entertainment experience in and out of the home – at great value.”
Giving our bundles some Oomph
Virgin Media’s bundle line-up has had a name change to highlight the incredible connectivity and entertainment on offer to customers.
Virgin Media’s Oomph packages offer outstanding value for customers with broadband that’s faster than its standard cable packages and a data-rich 4G mobile SIM – on a 4G network that’s faster on average than Vodafone, 02, Three and Sky.
It’s better value for customers to take cable and mobile services together in an Oomph package from Virgin Media – rather than taking them separately.
With the Ultimate Oomph bundle, customers can enjoy the ultimate entertainment and connectivity experience – at home or on the move.
This includes the UK’s fastest widely available broadband with average download speeds of 516Mbps – seven times faster than BT and Sky – as well as a mobile SIM with truly unlimited data, texts and calls. Plus, there’s brilliant TV with two of Virgin TV’s latest V6 set-top boxes complete with more than 280 channels including Sky Sports HD, Sky Cinema HD and BT Sport in 4K Ultra HD, as well as inclusive anytime landline calls.
The ultimate entertainment and connectivity bundle is available at £99 for new customers on a 12 month contract.
Virgin Media’s Oomph packages make it simple for customers to add a mobile SIM to any broadband bundle. When customers take a SIM they’ll also be able to take advantage of faster broadband speeds – faster than those included in Virgin Media’s standard bundles.
By taking a mobile SIM (2GB, 5GB, 15GB, 50GB or Truly Unlimited data, texts and calls) average broadband speeds offered in these bundles increase from 50Mbps to 100Mbps, 100Mbps to 200Mbps and from 200Mbps to 350Mbps. Customers have the freedom to change their mobile data allowance each month.
Other bundles available with a mobile SIM are Big Oomph (formerly a boosted Player bundle) and Bigger Oomph (formerly a boosted Full House bundle) which include blockbuster broadband, top-notch TV and home phone calls.
