Qvest Media and Strive team up

September 14, 2019

Qvest Media, a systems architect and ICT integrator enters into a new global integration partnership with Strive, a manufacturer of innovative streaming software. With Strive’s technology, broadcasters, OTT providers, and live streaming providers benefit from a high-end streaming solution that substantially lowers the costs for operating a video content delivery network by saving massive bandwidth.

Strive’s technology can be integrated seamlessly into online platforms and native applications such as web apps, apps for iOS and Android, Set-top boxes or smart TVs. When activated, Strive’s software creates a WebRTC-based network between the app subscribers. The resulting user network then provides the video content that would traditionally be distributed by a content delivery network (CDN). Therefore, streaming servers and CDNs can serve up to 8 times more concurrent users than before. Within the partnership, Qvest Media performs the implementation of the technology in distribution infrastructures and takes care of the global operational support.

“Strive’s technology is a real game-changer for streaming platforms”, said Thomas Müller, CTO at Qvest Media. “OTT-providers and broadcasters have to deal with delivering a steadily rising mass of online video content through various distribution channels. Strive’s solutions improves both data quality and data availability while cutting operational costs at the same time. We are happy about the opportunity to roll out Strive’s innovative technology globally in our joint projects in the future.”

Strive’s unlimited scalable software solutions run independently of the internal IT infrastructure and can be installed in the cloud and on-premise data centers. Therefore, Strive meets all requirements for the integration to Qvest Media’s multicloud management platform Qvest.Cloud. Qvest.Cloud simplifies the shift to fully integrated multicloud architectures by replacing on-premise production capabilities with multicloud or hybrid architectures. The platform enables users to centralize control through powerful media management services, provides seamless integration with private and public cloud environments, and is the center of a constantly growing ecosystem of 3rd party cloud applications and solutions.

“With Qvest Media, we found the ideal partner for the integration and marketing of our products,” said Alexander Schäfer, CEO at Strive. “We are convinced that our expertise in streaming technology teamed with Qvest Media’s longstanding market experience makes a very compelling combination for OTT providers, broadcaster and media companies.”

Strive’s technology will be presented at Qvest Media‘s booth 3.B40 at IBC 2019 in Amsterdam.
