Portuguese pay-TV providers Sport TV and Eleven Sports have decided to provide a helping hand to their customers confined at home during the Covid-19 outbreak.

At Sport TV, all premium channels are exempt from payment of the subscription “as long as the state of emergency that impacts sports competitions lasts”.

For its part, Eleven Sports will not charge the monthly fee for its six premium sports channels, as well as for the streaming service. This offer is valid for a period of 30 days initially.

Meanwhiles, the biggest telecommunications operators in Portugal (Meo/Altice Portugal, NOS and Vodafone) announced that, due to the “exceptional time of crisis”, they will alleviate the consequences of isolation, by not charging the monthly fee for Sport TV, BTV and Eleven Sports to customers.

The monthly subscription for SportTV is €28.49, while both BTV and Eleven Sports charge €9.90.
