Comcast Technology Solutions, a division of Comcast Cable that provides media and entertainment technology to content providers, operators, and advertisers, has announced that its Cloud TV Suite serves the back-end platform for OSN’s video entertainment service, OSN Streaming App.
OSN is an entertainment network provider across MENA, offering an extensive range of exclusive and original programming, and popular shows and movies. The OSN Streaming App is a direct-to-consumer, SVoD service, powered by Comcast Technology Solutions, that enables viewers to watch their favorite shows across connected TVs, computers, smartphones, and tablets.
“At OSN, our focus is to create the most comprehensive and engaging entertainment experience for consumers throughout MENA,” said Peter Riz, Chief Technology Officer of OSN. “Our OSN Streaming App brings together a collection of unrivaled shows, movies, and exclusive original productions content, across all the countries we serve. To make that possible, we selected Comcast Technology Solutions for their end-to-end Cloud TV Suite to support us, and centralize, manage, and deliver our service at scale. Comcast Technology Solutions provides us the ability to continually refresh, secure, and deliver our content, in multiple languages, on the screen of choice for our subscribers.”
“With their highly anticipated streaming app, OSN has set the bar for a premium digital entertainment service across MENA,” said Bart Spriester, Vice President and General Manager of the Content and Streaming Provider Suite for Comcast Technology Solutions. “We are very proud that we can provide a comprehensive solution that enables OSN to deliver a world class entertainment experience today and for years to come. Our commitment is to help alleviate complexity behind-the-scenes and to enable innovative services while accelerating critical time to market as we did for OSN. Our close partnership drove a commercial launch in less than six months, which speaks volumes of the power of the technology and collaboration.”
