Prince Charles launches RE:TV on Prime Video
September 27, 2021
Prince Charles has launched a new channel on Prime Video called branded RE:TV.
The channel provides a showcase of the best examples from global business of how to tackle climate change. Covering a range of innovation from recycling coffee, reseeding rainforests, and refining solar to revitalising cities and remodelling fashion, the films focus on positive, forward-thinking stories that show how human ingenuity and innovation can power the transition our planet so greatly needs.
The RE:TV content on Prime Video also includes a direct plea from The Prince of Wales that we must act now. He says there is hope but we are running out of time.
For each film, RE:TV worked with local crews and international partners to champion inspiring solutions from around the world and highlight the work of projects in Asia, Africa, North America and Europe.
Speaking in The Time to Act is Now film, The Prince of Wales said: “I’ve spent a lot my lifetime trying to engage people and businesses with the issues and solutions of the climate crisis. RE:TV was therefore set up with the aim of capturing the will and imagination of humanity and champion the most inspiring solutions for sustainability from around the world. I hope that with this partnership with Prime Video we can bring these inspirating innovations and ideas to a wider audience and demonstrate together what is possible in the pursuit of a sustainable future.”
This follows RE:TV partnering with Waterbear, the first interactive streaming platform dedicated to the future of our planet by using storytelling as a tool to make a difference.
