Electric Entertainment signs licensing deals for Almost Paradise

Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles based production, distribution and post-production company, announces the signing of two new licensing deals including Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) networks in German Speaking Europe (GSE) and Now TV in Hong Kong for its successful crime series, “Almost Paradise.” The first US TV programme to be filmed entirely in the Philippines, “Almost Paradise” became a fan favorite when it aired domestically in 2020. The announcement was made by Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution for Electric Entertainment.
Mehandjiyska states: “With the continued success of ‘Almost Paradise’ expanding into more and more territories around the world, we are happy we can share the universal theme of good triumphing over evil with audiences everywhere.”
“Almost Paradise” will air on SPT’s AXN in GSE and will begin streaming in Hong Kong on Now TV’s new SVOD service Now Studio in early 2022. The service will be offering English speaking entertainment to subscribers. Electric Entertainment recently announced the licensing rights of “Almost Paradise” in France, Poland, Africa, Romania and the Balkans, after successful launches of the series in Spain, Ukraine, Latin America and MEA.
The German deal was negotiated by Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution at Electric Entertainment. The Hong Kong deal was negotiated by Nolan Pielak, Senior Vice President, International Distribution at Electric Entertainment.
