FilmRise acquires North American rights to Marvelous and the Black Hole

FilmRise, the New York-based film and TV studio and streaming network, has acquired the distribution rights to Marvelous and the Black Hole starring four-time Emmy Award-winner Rhea Perlman (Cheers, Matilda, The Mindy Project) and Miya Cech (Always Be My Maybe, Are You Afraid of the Dark?).
The deal gives FilmRise exclusive theatrical, digital and broadcast distribution rights in the US and Canada. Marvelous and the Black Hole was produced by Carolyn Mao and is Kate Tsang’s feature film directorial debut. The film follows the story of an unlikely bond between a young girl and an eccentric magician.
