beIN celebrates 1 year until World Cup 2022

The countdown continues towards the 2022 FIFA World Cup, marked by beIN Media Group with the release of an exclusive behind-the-scenes original film featuring some of the world’s biggest football stars, ahead of the event in November 2022.
beIN is the official broadcaster of the tournament in France and in 24 countries across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
beIN’s flagship sports channel, beIN Sports, will air Memories & Dreams, a specially curated memoir to mark the one-year countdown to the tournament. The 30 minute beIN Original will be aired exclusively on across 24 countries in MENA and France. The short film offers an insight into the aspirations and emotions of the likes of Ángel Di María, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Marco Verratti, Neymar da Silva Santos, Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos, amongst others, in the presence of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, filmed at beIN’s studios in Doha. It goes on to explore the stars’ first, best, and worst football memories and what the tournament means to them.
Messi, winner of the most Ballon d’Or in history, said: “The World Cup is different from all the championships because of how it is lived, and how important it is to the entire world. Each country lives it differently. In Argentina, it is a beautiful and a crazy event which makes it so special. During the World Cup month life stops in the country and the only thing to do is to watch the World Cup matches”.
Ramos added: “I hope I will have the opportunity to be able to play the upcoming Qatar World Cup and represent my country. It is very difficult to reach the final, but Spain has a great team and a great coach, plus everybody works very hard to do well in such championships”.
beIN SPORTS will also be airing dedicated programmes and preview footage of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in MENA and France.
The programmes in France include the return of more beIN Original series, ‘Destination Qatar 2022’, and features on legendary players, like Diego Maradona, and a tour of the purpose-built stadiums of Qatar.
In MENA, there will be a 24 hour celebration on beIN SPORTS, with programmes broadcast across all 24 countries in the region including: interviews, entertainment content, documentaries, and the unveiling of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Countdown Clock in Doha. beIN’s presenters will report from Qatar’s landmarks, FIFA World Cup stadiums, and capture football fan reactions from across the region and the globe.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off on November 21st 2021, with the opening game to be held in Al Bayt Stadium.
