October 12, 2022

Unifrance has chosen OKAST to launch its new screening solution for its various markets and festivals

Created in 1949 as an association under the French law of 1901 and operating under the control of the public authorities, in particular the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée), Unifrance is the organisation in charge of promoting French in charge of promoting French cinema and TV programs worldwide.

The organisation currently brings together more than 1,000 French cinema and TV content professionals (producers, talents, agents, sales companies, etc.) working together to promote French films and TV programmes among foreign audiences, industry executives, and media.

During the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Biarritz, Unifrance inaugurated its new viewing platform (Screening Room) developed by OKAST, a video streaming platform editor. More flexible, modern, and adapted to the specific needs of each market, this platform is accessible in the back-office for accredited audiovisual distributors and in the front-office for buyers participating in the event. Instead of the previous platform’s exhaustiveness, the possibility of editorializing content in the form of thematic programs has been favored, and the interface can be customised for the major events organised by the association.

After its launch at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Biarritz, this new solution will be used at future Unifrance TV content and film events.

“We are particularly proud to have been selected by Unifrance to provide them with a complete platform designed for professionals of the audiovisual and film industries, and to be able to participate in their mission to carry the French flag abroad,” said Cédric Monnier, CEO of OKAST.
