VeEX unveils FX41xT PON terminated optical power meter

VeEX , a player in innovative test and measurement solutions for next-generation networks, has announced the launch of its new FX41xT PON terminated optical power meter (OPM). The FX41xT weighs less than 200g (0.44 lbs.) and is the smallest G-PON and XGS-PON, wavelength selective (1490 and 1577 nm), PON meter on the market today.
The new FX41xT enables simultaneous and precise measurement of downstream (DS) wavelengths, so technicians can verify the optical levels either Pass or Fail pre-defined thresholds. This palm-sized and rugged tester is an indispensable tool for any FTTH/P technician working with both legacy G-PON and next-generation XGS-PON systems.
A unique patent pending, NoApp connection-less feature allows technicians to transfer test results by scanning a QR code displayed on the FX41xT’s screen using a mobile device, eliminating the need for dedicated mobile Apps, PC software and USB cables. Results can be uploaded to VeEX’s R-Server, a centralized software application that aids in workflow and asset management.
