Florida-based Sidus Space has been contracted to supply components for the Airbus/OneWeb Satellites (AOS) 50/50 joint-venture satellite production facility at Merritt Island, Florida.

The Sidus agreement covers machined parts which are destined to be integrated into satellites being produced by the AOS joint-venture. Sidus is based at Cape Canaveral, and extremely convenient to the AOS location.

“We are excited to support Airbus OneWeb Satellites,” said Carol Craig, Sidus Space founder/CEO. “Sidus has over 10 years of industry-leading and high-quality commercial, military, and government manufacturing experience.”

Sidus Space has been manufacturing satellite hardware for over a decade and has supported major US government and Commercial Space programs including Artemis, xEVAS, Starliner, Dream Chaser, and the International Space Station.

The AOS Arrow craft are smallish (150 kgs-class) satellites and AOS says they can mass produce these satellites. Arrow’s heritage is derived from AOS’s Gen-1 product using the technology from hundreds of spacecraft made on the same active Airbus OneWeb Satellites production line in Florida. The Florida factory is configured to output a fully assembled and tested satellite from each line every eight-hour shift.
