World Athletics Championships 2023 on BBC

From August 19th to 27th, the BBC is providing live coverage of every event from the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest across TV, radio and online.

A top line-up of athletes will be sharing expert insight and analysis, as well as their thoughts on medal hopefuls Dina Asher Smith, Daryll Neita, Keely Hodgkinson and Men’s 100m and 200m British record breaker, Zharnel Hughes (pictured).

TV & BBC iPlayer 

TV presenting duties throughout the championships are Gabby Logan and Jeanette Kwakye. They are joined by Olympic heptathlon medallists, Dame Jessica Ennis Hill and Dame Denise Lewis, along with four-time Olympic gold medallist and eight-time World Championship gold medallist, Michael Johnson, throughout the eight-day event. Also providing expert analysis and commentary are Colin Jackson, Paula Radcliffe, Steve Cram, Andrew Cotter and Steve Backley.

Audiences can watch every event from across the competition live on BBC One, Two, iPlayer and Red Button.

Fans can keep up to date with the action with a daily recap on preview on BBC Breakfast, and from 9pm on August 21st on BBC Three, World Athletics Extra will showcase the day’s highlights.

Radio and BBC Sounds

BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds are bringing comprehensive coverage from across the competition, with Katharine Merry and Allison Curbishley providing commentary from Budapest on all the key races.

Website, app & social media 

The drama from the World Athletics Championships will be captured in detail across the BBC Sport website, app and social media. The best of the action from Budapest will be streamed live online.
