Australia: DAZN on Optus
November 16, 2023
DAZN Group has announced a distribution partnership with Optus, the Australian telecom, mobile and internet provider, to feature DAZN via their digital aggregator, Subhub.
DAZN’s array of live football, boxing and MMA content, archive, and documentaries will now be available to even more sports fans in Australia. Part of DAZN’s overall strategic focus is to work with blue chip distribution partners to increase accessibility to its products and services.
Pete Parmenter, EVP Strategic Partnerships, DAZN, said: “This is yet another exciting partnership that underpins DAZN’s strategy of delivering an ever-increasing range of top-quality sports content to sports fans on as wide a basis as possible. This deal increases accessibility and reach for our rights holders’ content, such as the UEFA Women’s Champions League, top quality boxing and combat content, and, in time, NFL Game Pass. Having access to Optus’s huge subscriber base and quality distribution network, creates even more visibility in Australia for DAZN’s best in class coverage, products and services as we continue our journey to being the world’s leading sports platform.”
