The Gentlemen debuts at Netflix #1

The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie’s new gangster series starring Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, debut atop Netflix’s English TV List in the week commencing March 4th, with 12.2 million views. Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was recently renewed for two more seasons, held strong in second place with 9.1 million views. True crime and true love dominated the remainder of the list; Docuseries The Program: Cons, Cults and Kidnapping entered the list in third place (7.1 million views), and American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders took #7 (2.4 million views). Season 6 of the reality dating experiment Love is Blind spent its fourth week on the list in fifth place (3.4 million views) and One Day, the limited series adapted from David Nicholls’ bestselling romance novel, followed in sixth place in its fifth week on the list (3.1 million views).
Damsel, the new action fantasy starring Stranger Things lead Millie Bobby Brown took #1 on the English Films List, with 35.3 million views in just three days of release and was the most watched title of the week. The film, which also stars Robin Wright and Angela Bassett, has hit #1 in 79 countries and reached the Top 10 in 93 more. Action thriller Code 8: Part II clocked 11.9 million views to take the #2 spot, and kept its prequel, Code 8, on the list at #4 with 5.7 million views. Johan Renck’s drama Spaceman, starring Adam Sandler and Carey Mulligan, held firm at #3 with 10.8 million views and Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, the steamy thriller starring Kelly Rowland, ranked #5 with 5.1 million views.
Paris-set mafia series Furies (France) made its way to the top spot on the Non-English TV List with 7.9 million views. Second and third place were taken by new list entrants: suspenseful mystery drama The Signal (Germany) notched 4.9 million views and character drama Supersex (Italy) racked up 3.2 million views. All three seasons of Wrong Side of the Tracks (Spain) took spots on the list: Season 3 took fourth place (2.3 million views), Season 1 took ninth place (1 million views), and Season 2 took tenth place (0.9 million views).
Drama My Name is Loh Kiwan (Korea) rose to #1 on the Non-English Film list, racking up 5.1 million views. Spanish films had a moment this week on the list, with romance Through My Window 3: Looking at You claiming #2 (2.5 million views), documentary You’re Not Alone: Fighting the Wolf Pack (Spain) debuting at #3 (2.3 million views), and J.A. Bayona’s Academy Award nominated survival thriller Society of the Snow taking #7 (1.4 million views) in its tenth consecutive week.
