And in the fantastical worlds of Disney, the beautiful Maleficent (played by Angeline Jolie) has an idyllic life in a forest kingdom, and when an invading army threatens the land, she rises to become its fiercest protector. From Oscar-winning writer-director Sofia Coppola comes the historical biopic Marie Antoinette which follows the beautiful Queen of France who became a symbol for the wanton extravagance of the 18th-century monarchy. Feeling isolated in a royal court rife with scandal and intrigue, Marie Antoinette defied both royalty and commoners alike, and paid for it with her life.
