STARZPLAY, the international premium streaming service launched by global media and entertainment company Starz in 2018, is now available to customers across Europe and Latin America including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia as an Apple TV channel in the Apple TV app for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Samsung Smart TV users.
The expansion of the STARZPLAY global footprint combined with the existing territories covered by the StarzPlay Arabia platform throughout the Middle East and Africa, means that by July 1st, STARZPLAY will be streaming in 51 countries worldwide.
The STARZPLAY service available in the Apple TV app gives customers the opportunity to watch STARZ premium content all in one place, with future STARZ Original series available exclusively on STARZPLAY day-and-date with the US. New episodes of the epic limited series The Spanish Princess, as well as the full second season of the award-winning series Vida, are available now on STARZPLAY.
In addition to the STARZ Originals series, STARZPLAY features curated first run acquired content. These series are offered alongside a vast library of blockbuster and fan-favourite movies across various territories at the touch of a button. Subscribers to STARZPLAY in the Apple TV app can watch online or enjoy offline downloads of their favourite shows and movies available through STARZPLAY.
The Apple TV app brings together all the ways to watch shows and movies into one app and is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and select Samsung smart TVs, and will come to Mac this autumn. The Apple TV app also features Apple TV channels such as STARZPLAY, personalised recommendations, and iTunes movies and TV shows to buy or rent.
