Eurosport to withdraw from French pay DTT

Sports channel Eurosport will withdraw from the French pay DTT market when Discovery Communications’s shares in Eurosport France surpass the 51 per cent mark.
TF1 CEO Nonce Paolini confirmed the plan of action at a press gathering, adding that the request will be brought to media regulatory body CSA before the end of the year.
Discovery could raise its share in Eurosport France, which TF1 currently owns 80 per cent of, as of January 1st.
