Technicolor teams with Warner Bros

October 26, 2012

In collaboration with Warner Bros and its other major studio customers, Technicolor has announced a multi-year initiative to develop an end-to-end digital platform connecting individual studio operations and siloed service providers into a single, efficient and interoperable pipeline. The platform will allow studios to retain the flexibility to choose their preferred services partners, and be able to leverage the benefits of working within one consolidated and secure environment. Technicolor’s solution provides a unified set of features to manage, monitor and enable an integrated pipeline of individual services from clients, Technicolor and other approved, trusted third-party service providers on a platform of common tools.

“This platform will efficiently solve the pain points for our major customers in the digital environment,” said Lanny Raimondo, Head of Technicolor Entertainment Services business group.  “We are thrilled to be partnering with our key customers, including Warner Bros., as collaborators in building a flexible pipeline, application and tool set to assure quality and meet their needs throughout the content lifecycle.”

By connecting Technicolor’s leading-edge technologies, industry experience and solutions with other best-in-class partners, we are building the creation and distribution digital platform of the future. Our customers will be able to leverage the best of individual contributors, while retaining the advantages of a holistic, end-to-end solution. Building on Warner Bros.’ industry insight and knowledge and their DETE solution, as an option for the assembly and distribution of content, we believe that we will be offering the first comprehensive, open platform for the global entertainment industry.

With this integrated, cross-industry approach, in collaboration with its major customers, Technicolor is building a solution that addresses the digital environment and the associated urgent problems facing our industry.
