Samsung Smart TV platform 1.5m UK users

Samsung Electronics Co has revealed that its Smart TV platform now has more than 1.5 million weekly unique users – a 50 per cent increase in users over the past nine months.

The Samsung Smart Hub offers catch-up TV services (ITV Player, BBC iPlayer, 4oD and Demand 5) through to Ultra-HD content from partners such as Netflix and soon, Amazon Instant Video as well as the independent world cinema from MUBI and Curzon Home Cinema.

This change has helped the remarkable growth in users of the Samsung Smart Hub this year and shows that people are engaging with the content we have to offer more than ever before.”

Samsung has launched an Xmas TV campaign in the UK promoting the Samsung ‘ecosystem’ across smart phones, tablets and TVs.
