iTunes bonus content from Premier

November 24, 2015

Entertainment communications and creative agency Premier has announced that it is now an Apple-approved iTunes Extras encoding house.

One of only two companies in the UK qualified to do so, Premier will make special features for a large variety of films available via iTunes. The bonus content will include deleted scenes, commentary, mini movies and image galleries, and will be automatically available to film fans when they buy a film with the enhanced features on iTunes. The films with the additional content available on the platform will range from major international blockbusters to independent British films.

The iTunes Extras deal follows Premier being confirmed as an approved supplier for Apple earlier this year, and follows the recent update of the agency’s online management system, Premier Portal, which now allows its clients to deliver their content to multiple platforms and broadcasters in territories worldwide.

Simon Penny, Head of Digital Delivery, Premier, says: “This iTunes Extras deal is a reflection on the changing way that consumers are viewing content and of the digital evolution we’re experiencing. Through us, movie fans can now enjoy all the additional content from their favourite film when they buy it from iTunes.“
