Mediamorph’s Studio Connect selected by Hollywood studios to streamline digital supply chain
July 14, 2016
Hollywood’s largest studios, representing more than 80 per cent of box office and digital film revenues, have overwhelmingly embraced Studio Connect, an essential component of Mediamorph’s full cycle licensing solution that manages title avail generation, distribution, licensing, and revenue reconciliation. To date, four of the Top Studios have selected Studio Connect to streamline their digital supply chain, enabling dynamic title and pricing management to drive more revenue. Mediamorph processes more than 50 per cent of the industries digital sales and rental transactions globally and will leverage its scalable platform to manage and distribute the tens of millions of avails.
Studio Connect is a unique and powerful web-based tool that integrates with Studios’ internal systems allowing them to holistically manage title curation, pricing, promotions, and metadata. Prior to Studio Connect, most Studios have relied on cumbersome spreadsheets, but with the rapid growth of digital platforms, shrinking windows, and the desire to actively drive promotions, that largely manual approach does not scale. Studio Connect supports the accurate publishing of Avails data in the EMA specification, Apple Transporter XML, and other popular formats.
Studio Connect seamlessly interfaces with Mediamorph’s Connect Data Management module, which Digital Retailers and Video Operators use to ingest Avails and Planners data from a rapidly growing list of content providers. This allows Content Providers and Digital Distributors to quickly incorporate usage and other data for more informed and precise promotions and merchandising across platforms. Both Studio Connect and Connect Data Management integrate with Mediamorph rights-aware contract module, Digital Deals, and Accounting modules, providing further insights into content distribution and revenues.
“We are delighted the largest content producers in the world have selected Studio Connect,” said Rob Gardos, CEO of Mediamorph. “We are dedicated to helping our customers streamline the digital supply chain in order to drive more revenue and scale more quickly.”
