Cheddar, post cable networks company, and Synacor have announced that US subscribers of Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV will have full access to Cheddar’s live and on demand programming at no additional charge via the Cheddar website, as well as mobile and TV apps.
“All Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV subscribers can now login with their credentials and access our content, just like the traditional cable networks,” said Jon Steinberg, CEO of Cheddar. “We are always in base bundle, so this means all subscribers of these leading platforms can access us. This type of access is available to all our pay-TV distributor partners as quickly as they give us the GO to make this available to their subscribers.”
Cheddar is tapping Synacor’s Cloud ID cloud-based identity management platform to speed authentication integrations with virtual MVPDs and MVPDs.
