U-Beat, Mediapro’s eSports OTT platform, has gone live aiming to be the dominant player amongst Spanish and LatAm eSports fans.

The service is initially available through Orange and is currently negotiating with other national and international platforms. With an in-house team, U-Beat offers VoD and live TV content in a mobile format to be watched across all devices.

At launch, the service has over 3,000 hours of tournaments, news and entertainment with content focussed around the most popular online video games such as League of Legends, Clash Royale, Fortnite, CSGO and Call of Duty as well as LVP events. Mediapro will also launch a 24/7 pay TV channel with live tournaments and news, interviews, and highlights on a daily basis.

With the launch Mediapro consolidates its position in the eSports market following the integration of Fandroid and The Breach Studios operating in Mexico, Argentine, Chile, Peru and the UK with over 20 million unique users and 75 per cent of the Spanish-speaking audience.

Tatxo Benet, managing partner of Mediapro, said that “eSports are strategic for the Mediapro Group, and the launch of U-Beat will allow us to be in all the value chain.”
