Sports Channel Network offers FTA cycling

August 1, 2019

With live coverage of the Tour de France now over, British cycling fans can still watch the sport, free of charge, on Sports Channel Network.

SCN, the dedicated OTT channel available on Freeview and YouView (channel 266) and via App, allows UK fans to watch premium cycling content when they want, where they want. With everything streamed in HD quality, SCN can offers atraditional broadcast experience online.

Cycling continues to be one of the most popular sport streamed on SCN with programming from rights holders including the world governing body of cycling, UCI. As well as the popular In-cycle magazine series, whose 2019 season concludes in August, SCN has programmes from the UCI Sanctioned Hammer Series, where teams, rather than individual riders, compete against each other over 3 days with sprint, climb and team time trial events. This year’s final takes place in October in Hong Kong.

The Tour de Yorkshire, Tour Down Under, Tour of Oman and the Santos Tour, all organised by the world leader in cycling race organisation, A.S.O, can also be found on SCN.

“This year’s Tour de France offered spectacular drama with a first win for Team Ineos and the arrival of a new star in Egan Bernal. But with the live event over, SCN wants to offer a regular destination for UK cycling fans where they can watch premium content, when they want, and free of charge.” said SCN CEO Paul Coster. “Pro-cycling will become a key part of SCN’s growth plans.”
