Marquee TV appoints Luff and Laricheva

Marquee TV, the performing arts streaming service offering opera, dance, theatre, and music on demand, has announced that Phillip Luff has joined the company as General Manager of Product and Distribution and Nina Laricheva has been appointed as General Manager of Brand and Content.  Both Luff and Laricheva are based in the company’s London office and report directly to Marquee TV’s CEO, Simon Walker.

Having both Phillip and Nina in key leadership roles is an important step to deliver on our ambitious growth plans.  Their insight and expertise will take Marquee TV to an entirely new level in our mission to democratize global access to the arts. The extraordinary growth we’ve seen this year makes us more determined than ever to reach new audiences and find exciting, exclusive new content.”
In this newly created role of GM of Product and Distribution, Luff is responsible for overseeing Marquee TV’s product and technology stack, including developing a product roadmap to anticipate the future needs of subscribers and business partners. He will also manage the product’s global distribution, with a specific focus on third party distribution partnerships in the US and internationally.

Prior to joining Marquee TV, Luff was Managing Director UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Scripps Networks Interactive. During his three years there, he grew SNI’s portfolio of lifestyle brands including HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel across free to air, pay TV and digital platforms. Prior to SNI, he worked in various senior management roles for Discovery Networks International, Liberty Global and News Corp/ FOX Sports, based at various times in Sydney, Tokyo, London, Warsaw and Moscow.
In her recently appointed role as GM of Brand and Content, Laricheva oversees all brand strategy and content acquisition for the platform. Additionally, she manages all marketing and partnership operations.
“Over the course of this past year, Marquee TV has seen exponential growth. With more subscribers and partners than ever, it has been a true passion of mine to continue to build this brand and acquire content that I know our audience will love,” said Nina Laricheva.
Prior to her role at Marquee TV, Laricheva held various roles at BBC Studios based both in the UK and in the US. Her most recent role there was VP Head of Channels Development, Global Markets where she oversaw the commercial launch of BBC Player across EMEA with her main focus on Telcos. Prior to her time at BBC Worldwide, London, Nina worked at NBCUniversal, London, UK as the Director of Global Sales where she negotiated key commercial deals for NBCUniversal Channels outside of the US. Before NBCUniversal Nina worked at Discovery Networks International, London, as a Commercial Director for Emerging Markets.
