February 28, 2022
Silver Spoon continues to augment its real-time animation and virtual production capabilities with the hiring of new Head of Production, Angela Cardetti. The recent enlistment follows the studio’s expansion of operations to Los Angeles in addition to their New York base. Silver Spoon continues to lead the virtual production industry, supporting broadcast projects like the Super Bowl, CBS’s March Madness, Fox’s real-time avatar singing competition ‘Alter Ego’ as well as numerous commercials, television shows, films and live events.
Angela Cardetti joins Silver Spoon as Head of Production with over 15 years of experience in technical production across multiple disciplines of audio, video and lighting in both the broadcast and live event industries. In her previous role as Director of Video Services for Brainhub Powering ETP, she led the crew responsible for designing and executing complex video systems for large scale corporate events and entertainment touring projects. Included on the distinguished list of Fortune 50 companies, she has worked with Cisco, IBM, Meta, Amazon, and Dell as well as touring artists J. Cole, Lindsey Stirling and Usher. At the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, she helped pivot live events toward remote and virtual production, which over the last two years has honed her expertise in AR and XR workflows.
Excited about her new position, Angela states, “I am thrilled to be at the intersection of creativity and technology with Silver Spoon, a clear leader in the world of virtual production. With the rapid growth we are experiencing, I am delighted to develop and lead teams of brilliant individuals to create and deliver sensational experiences that bring ideas to life.”
Laura Herzing, Executive Producer at Silver Spoon, shares in the excitement: “Silver Spoon has experienced such tremendous growth over the last two years, and Angela brings a wealth of production and technical knowledge to our growing team. We are absolutely thrilled to have her here, and she will be a vital part of helping us continue to grow and expand in new directions.”
