Droners to make UK linear TV premiere on POP

February 22, 2023

Droners, a high-tech adventure set in an animated, eco-friendly world, will make its UK linear premiere on children’s channel, POP, on March 6th.

In Terraqua, a world that is 95 per cent covered in water, the eco-technology genius Wyatt Whale has organised the Whale Cup, a drone race competition that will determine his future apprentice.  Young droners Corto, Mouse and Enki, competing as Team Tiki, are determined to win the competition – but unlike their opponents, they’re not just after glory; becoming Wyatt Whale’s new apprentices is also their only chance to access the latest eco-technology and prevent their island from sinking. As the drone races go on, Team Tiki will find their strengths, and most of all, learn how friendship can help them overcome the greatest of perils. They’ll learn about Terraqua’s past, and about the mysterious Aquas.

Droners (26 x 22 mins) is produced by Cyber Group Studios and co-produced by La Chouette Compagnie and Supamonks.

POP is available on Freeview 206, Sky 614, Virgin 736 and Freesat 603.
