Sandbox partners with Alpha Group on Super Wings app

March 6, 2023

Sandbox Group, the London-based group operating a network of learning businesses, has partnered with Alpha Group, one of the largest animation, toy and entertainment groups in Asia, on a new Super Wings educational app for kids ages 3 and up. The deal was brokered by bRAND-WARD, the licensing agency and consultancy.

The children’s app will be developed by Spain-based company, Edujoy, that is part of the Sandbox Group’s Gaming arm and has under its belt over 100 games educational games for babies, toddlers and kids up to 8 years old.

With an established track record of launching IP-based kids apps, the company has collaborated with some of the biggest children’s brands like Masha and the Bear and Hello Kitty. Its apps have been downloaded over 600 million times around the world and have rated over 4.3 stars in the App Store.

Like most of the apps Edujoy has developed, the new Super Wings app will be focused on providing kids with fun learning experiences and on igniting children’s creativity through intuitive content. The app will consist of fun puzzles and educational games that support a number of different learning areas and will encourage language-, music-, painting-, reasoning-, coordination- and visual skills.

Antoine Erligmann, VP International, Media, TV/VOD & CP of Alpha Group said: “We are thrilled and excited about this new partnership with Edujoy! Through their expertise on educational games, Edujoy will create a gaming app in line with Super Wings DNA, where kids will learn by playing.”

President of Sandbox Gaming, Abhi Arya, added: “We are excited to work with Alpha Group on bringing to life one of its most recognised IPs and offering to kids worldwide fun and safe learning opportunities based around the much-loved, airborne characters.”

The app is scheduled to launch in March 2023 and it will be available to download free from the App Store and Google Play. Like all of Edujoy’s previously developed games, it will be 100% safe and COPPA certified, for the parents’ peace of mind.
