August 22, 2023

Weigel Broadcasting’s newest broadcast TV network, Story Television, has signed a content partnership with Parade Media Group that will see 19 hours of factual programming launch on the network in 2023.

Key programming from Parade’s slate includes five original historical series spanning 15 one-hour episodes exploring pivotal moments in WWII, as the Axis powers and Nazi Germany looked to advance, while the Allied forces rallied to achieve the 20th century’s greatest military victory. The package also includes an additional four original one-hour series investigating the unexplained and endlessly fascinating search for UFOs, and the possible conspiracies to keep these discoveries a secret.

Weigel Broadcasting launched Story Television Network, an over the air national broadcast channel devoted to history-based fare, on March 28th 2022. Story Television’s programming includes off-net series that originally aired on networks such as A&E and History Channel, for example: Biography, The Men Who Built America, World War II in HD, Modern Marvels, Mankind: The Story of All of Us; and more. Each day centres programming around a unique theme or genre, such as military, technology and innovation, world events, American history, modern achievement, unexplained phenomena, and biographical tributes.

Story TV’s exec VP of network, Donna D’Alessandro, said: “We are really pleased to work with Matt and the team at Parade Media Group on this acquisition. They have great content that fits perfectly on Story Television. We are excited that the audience can enjoy these programmes.”

Parade’s CEO, Matthew Ashcroft, added: ”We are beyond excited to be collaborating with Donna and the Story Television team for the first time. Programming in the genres of History and Unexplained is perennially popular, and we see the titles from Parade’s slate resonating with Story Television’s audience as part of their rich thematic programming lineup”
